Life Skills
As people we all gather lots of different life skills - but sometimes we need a bit of help to make life easier ....
The Learning and Skills Academy has access to a number of routeways and/or direct support that could help you better understand computers, how money works, universal credit, gain self-confidence and self-belief....
Work Skills
Employment and having the work skills to do a job with confidence are key to everyone's personal well-being.
The Academy works with local stakeholders and employers to help access training and employment opportunities.
Community
We are all part of our community. It's the people and places that we come into contact with each and every day. When we strengthen communities, we strengthen individuals.
The Academy works with many organisations to help communities - if you have some free time and would like to volunteer to help us, please email us.
Programmes
We can access many programmes, most of which are fully funded - even if you are at work. Although there are some rules around eligibility to access them, this year, we hope to help 300 people of every background and need to gain access to over 20 different programmes across the county.
Some examples include:
✔︎ Gaining a CSCS Construction Green Card or an SIA Security Card
✔︎ Gaining more skills in work
✔︎ Building self-confidence so that you can apply for jobs
✔︎ Help you once in work
✔︎ Help with numbers life skills
